-  Understand the Merton process and procedures for managing allegations and serious concerns about professional practice and standards of care

- Become aware of the help and support available to staff/ volunteers and carers in relation to allegations made against staff 

- Consider the process of implementing policies and strategies for staff/volunteers/carers in relation to minimising the risk of allegations and strategies for    coping if they occur
