- Explore the way society portrays sexual violence
- Understand how rape, childhood sexual abuse and exploitation and consent is defined in law
- Gain an awareness of the grooming process and silencing techniques used by perpetrators
- Understand the impacts of rape, childhood sexual abuse and exploitation on women and children
- Demonstrate an awareness and understanding of the different responses to and presentations of trauma
- Develop a model of best practice in responding to disclosures of sexual violence, including how to refer to specialist support services
