This course is for all Year 2 teachers to moderate pupils’ work in reading, writing, maths and science against the teacher assessment frameworks at the end of Year 2. Teachers will have the opportunity to discuss their judgements and compare evidence across a number of schools, supported by our team of LA moderators.

Teachers will use the Teacher Assessment Frameworks and other STA guidance documents, such as the exemplification materials to agree judgements against national standards.

Teachers will also be aware of the LA’s statutory moderation processes.

Outcomes:

  • Judgements on pupils’ attainment in reading, writing, maths and science will be accurate and consistent and will reflect the national standards;
  • Teachers will be confident in discussing the judgements they make about their pupils’ attainment, referring to evidence to justify judgements
