Aim:
To provide participants with the opportunity to develop an awareness of what to do if they have concerns about the safety and welfare of children and young people.
Objectives:
- Understand the difference between safeguarding and child protection,
- Be aware of key guidance relating to protecting children
- Understand the categories of abuse and neglect
- Understand the importance of multi-agency working
- Know what to do if a child makes an allegation of abuse
- Know the importance of information sharing
