IKWRO’s Honour-based abuse (HBA) and Forced Marriage (FM) training

IKWRO is a registered charity which provides advice and support to Middle Eastern, North African and Afghan women and girls living in the UK who are facing forced marriage, child marriage, “honour” based abuse, female genital mutilation and domestic abuse.

IKWRO’s Honour-based abuse (HBA) and Forced Marriage (FM) training aims to increase professionals’ understanding in culturally specific contexts and focusses on how to safely address and respond to incidents with case studies and real-life examples. At the end of the training attendees will be able to:

• Understand and identify HBA and FM cases;
• Respond to disclosures of HBA and FM; and
• Understand referral pathways and their responsibilities.
